OSHA's Top 10: Fall Protection
Falls from heights are the main cause of injuries and deaths in construction. Most people who work in construction spend at least part of their time working at heights. Year after year, fall protection violations are #1 on the list of OSHA’s “Top 10” standards violations.

OSHA’s Top 10: Working Safely at Heights with Scaffolding
In construction, falls are the leading cause of injury and death. Did you know that if you are working in construction, and are working more than six feet above the ground or a lower level, OSHA standards require some kind of fall protection. Fall protection falls into two categories: • fall prevention – as the name implies, these are systems to keep workers from falling. Scaffolding is a fall prevention system. • fall arrest – in situations where you can’t be sure to prevent worker falls, these systems make sure that if a worker falls, they won’t fall far or be injured or killed. Employers at workplaces with fall hazards are required to have a fall protection plan in place.
OSHA’s Top 10: Lockout / Tagout
OSHA’s Top 10: Lockout / Tagout
Use LOTO so safety isn’t a “lotto”. If you need to repair or service a piece of equipment, you need to make sure that it won’t start up or move unexpectedly. Don’t just turn it off. Someone might turn it back on while you’re working on it. You could be injured - or worse. Lock out and tag out (LOTO) equipment before you or anyone else repairs or services equipment or machinery.
OSHA’s Top 10: Respiratory Protection
OSHA’s Top 10: Respiratory Protection
Take a deep breath. Feel that air in your lungs. Now imagine doing that in a toxic environment. That would be crazy, right? Right! You could get sick or even die. That’s why workers need respiratory protection when their work environment exposes them to toxic substances such as chemical fumes and vapours. What if you couldn’t catch that breath because you caught COVID-19 at work? A different type of respiratory protection can help prevent this from happening.

Each year in the U.S., more than 500,000 people are treated and about 300 people die from ladder-related injuries.

OSHA's Top 10: Forklift/Powered Industrial Truck Safety
Forklifts or powered industrial trucks are widely used in warehouses, manufacturing plants, construction sites, freight terminals and many other locations to move, raise, lower, or remove large and small objects. OSHA's Top 10: Machine Guarding
